Thursday, February 11: Environmental Film and Discussion

The documentary Addicted To Plastic details the consequences of our widespread use of plastic. It includes expert interviews on practical and cutting edge solutions to recycling, toxicity and biodegradability. The solutions - which include plastics made from plants - will provide viewers with a new perspective about our future.  To see a trailer for the film and learn more about it go to http://www.bullfrogfilms.com/catalog/atp.html. For links to information about plastics, especially the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, see http://www.greatgarbagepatch.org/resources.html.

We'll meet at Blessings, 823 Reynolda Road,  across from Hanes park, just south of  Northwest Blvd.  (There's parking on the street and behind the building.) We’ll gather for refreshments at 6:45, hear announcements at 7, and then begin the 90 minute film. Co-sponsored by Temple Emanuel.

All are welcome! You don't have to be a Sierra Club member to participate. Consider bringing a friend.
